NFC Championship game - JAN 29 2011 (current odds as of Feb 16)

In Madden 2010?s recent Super Bowl XLIV simulation, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts (35-31) to win their first Super Bowl ever.

With Super Bowl XLIV now less than two weeks away, the battle lines have been drawn as the Indianapolis Colts gear up to take on the New Orleans Saints. Now it's time for the massive hype, over analysis and exaggerated build up to begin! Hurrah!
This week?s NFC Championship sports betting pick is the NEW ORLEANS SAINTS MONEYLINE (-190).

Ok there I said it. Bet the house on it, THE MINNESOTA VIKINGS WILL COVER THE SPREAD AGAINST THE DALLAS COWBOYS. I've been tracking this theory for sometime now, and it has won at almost an 80-90% clip. The best thing about forum sites like covers.com is that everyone has an opinion on a game, and usually when people post, they post what they think is the easiest bunch of wins of the day. I've noticed that whenever the forum takes for granted that a team is going to win and includes them in their post it almost always does not. This is the situation with the Cowboys and the Vikings game this weekend. I haven't seen one post yet that hasn't included the cowboys as one of their picks. Remember this if something is too good to be true it probably is.
I love seeing titles like this: "Vikings will get destroyed this weekend" followed by this post.
The Arizona Cardinals at New Orleans Saints (-7) Algorithm PICK is the ARIZONA CARDINALS (+7).
This Algorithm tracks line movement, and uses the percentage of wagers placed on the MONEYLINE, SPREAD, and OVER/UNDER, to determine which outcome is most favorable for Vegas (the house). The designers of this algorithm want to know where Vegas? money is.

First off, the Green Bay Packers has had difficulty all season long with good passing teams....With the exception of the Dallas Cowboys, who, IMO, was having a bad game, Green Bay lost to the Minnesota Vikings 2 times, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers.....the rest of their opposition didn't have much of a passing offense...

If you're a trend follower......I know this bowl season it's dogs covering or winning outright more. (I had the last two- Iowa and Boise st.), but I checked back to 02 and the favorite has covered the GMAC Bowl. That's 7 years and counting.

I really think this is a total mismatch. Revis will shut down Johnson again and the best part is now he knows it. If this dude is on lock down you are putting your cash on Coles, Caldwell, Foshi, Coats and company. Who are these bums.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants are set to square off in a pivotal NFC East showdown. The Eagles are coming off an impressive victory over the Atlanta Falcons last week. Donavan McNabb and Michael Vick showed that the league has a one-two punch combination that will have to be reckon with. The Giants seem to have the magic touch back after loosing 4 straight during the middle of the season. They were able to run the ball with huge momentum against the Dallas Cowboys last week. Giants receiver Steve Smith was the key to winning last weeks game and will have to do the same for week 14. Both teams know how important this match up is and I wouldn?t be surprised if we saw these two teams battling it out come post-season time.
