This summer, all eyes have been on the three superstars who joined ranks down in Miami. New York has done their best to match the Miami Heat.

Last night I was flipping thru channels and I got caught on something very fantastic, I use the word very because it really was fantastic. In my house the Spanish speaking channels are 16 and 17, I think 1 of them is Telemundo the other one might me Univision but it might as well be called half naked Spanish women walking around the house, the yard, the school, the church…. You get the point. I really was looking for some kind of sport to watch, it was about 9:30 p.m. and I knew the Mets were coming on soon but as soon as I reached channel 16 my batteries might just as well have died because I wasn’t about to change what I found.

There’s no better feeling in sports than winning. The euphoria that is triggered by winning can’t be denied. Any competitive person feels it too as you love to win, but hate losing even more.  

There has been a lot of movement on the 2010 Preakness Stakes odds since having been posted beginning of the week. The favorite is Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver at 2:1 with Lookin At Lucky at 13:4

After a mightily boring race in Bahrain, the F1 circus is now in Australia for what should hopefully be a slightly more interesting event. So far the weekend has shown some promise, with a splattering of rain coming down in the second Friday practice session and a few hairy moments on track for more than a few drivers.

After posting an absolutely dominant performance in Game 4 of the ALCS wagering series, the New York Yankees (109-60, +$1,678) will look to return to the World Series by closing out the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (101-68, +$2,300) tonight. On Tuesday night, the Bronx Bombers used a strong pitching effort by LHP CC Sabathia and more timely hitting to post the 10-1 victory. The Halos will be looking to force a sixth game in this series, which will be played on Saturday if it is necessary.

Manager Joe Girardi's life was made a lot easier by the Steinbrenner family in this offseason when the Yanks opened up their wallets and brought in some of baseball's biggest free agents. He's gotten great production from both Sabathia and 1B Mark Teixeira in these MLB betting playoffs, and he'll hope to get another great start out of the unsung hero of the bunch, RHP AJ Burnett on Thursday night. Including the postseason, Burnett has led Yankees gambling aficionados to a 23-12 record. He is 13-9 with a 3.94 ERA in his 35 outings.
