Fulham is the English football club from London. It was named after the London district Fulham, where the home stadium of the team is situated. The name of the stadium is Craven Cottage, which was opened in 1896. The club was set up in 1879. It got the right to enter the Second division of the Football League in 1905.

History

During its history the club has never been a champion. The club is considered to be average, which is trying to survive. In 1968 the club left the First Division and it started its travelling around different leagues. In 1997 the club was purchased by the billionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed
The famous French former footballer was invited to be a coach. He was   Jean Tigana, who replaced Kevin Keegan.  Jean Tigana led Fulham to the “Premier League, but they couldn’t get more. But when the coach left the team, it became obvious that the club would never become a champion. Many specialists didn’t approve that the former team’s captain Chris Coleman became the coach. Nobody believed the young coach would give new strengths to the team. But under his run, the team began playing more actively, but without any results; and the coach was accused of inexperience and his inability to take high posts.

Larry Sanchez replaced the former coach. Larry had been working the national team of the Northern Ireland and under his run the team got good results. But Sanchez couldn’t get any results. Then a new coach came, Fulham was an outsider. The miracle happened and in the season 2007 -2008, the team remained in the elite top only because the difference between the numbers of scored and conceded goals.
